Congratulating Hospital Radio Perth Volunteers for 80 Years of Service

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Hospital Radio Perth duo, Brian Whyte and John Watson, for their combined 80 years of service of broadcasting on hospital radio; commends their dedication to volunteer radio since the 1980s, including Mr Watson’s establishment of Hospital Radio Perth later in that decade; notes that Hospital Radio Perth has been named UK Hospital Radio Station of the Year on four occasions, and has accumulated more than 30 national accolades; understands that hospital radio stations across the UK are celebrating 100 years of broadcasting this year; considers that committed volunteers are at the heart of successful stations, and wishes Hospital Radio Perth and its volunteers, including Brian Whyte and John Watson, all the best in the future.
