Golden Jubilee University National Hospital in Clydebank Awarded for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Work

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital in Clydebank on being the first NHS facility in Scotland to be accredited by the Royal College of Physicians Joint Advisory Group (JAG) on Gastrointestinal Endoscopy; understands that the hospital has carried out over 6,000 endoscopy procedures in the last year; notes that the JAG accreditation Global Rating Scale (GRS) for endoscopy is recognised internationally as a measure of excellence; understands that plans are in place to establish the NHS Scotland Academy, through the hospital's National Endoscopy Training Programme, as a centre for training excellence in endoscopy, and wishes the staff and management every success for the future.
