Mark Mitchell Awarded Purdy Mentor of the Year 2022

The motion

That the Parliament commends Mark Mitchell, painting and decorating lecturer at University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) Inverness, for being awarded Purdy Mentor of the Year 2022; understands that Mr Mitchell was awarded the sum of £1,000 for winning the award and donated it to Prostate Cancer UK in memory of his late friend and colleague, Alan Duncan,  who sadly passed away in 2019 after having prostrate cancer for many years; recognises that Mr Mitchell is highly regarded by his students, receiving eight nominations for the prize, and further wishes Mr Mitchell and his students the best of luck for the future.
