Kinship Care Week
The motion
That the Parliament notes that 13 to 17 March 2023 marks Kinship Care Week; understands that Kinship Care Week aims to increase understanding and recognition of the role of kinship carers and the challenges that they often face; notes that the theme for 2023 is Connecting Kinship Carers, which, it understands, recognises that many often feel isolated whilst trying to provide a stable home life to allow children to grow and develop in a safe environment and remaining within their existing family network; thanks the Kinship Care Advisory Service Scotland for co-ordinating a week of online and offline activities, funded by the Scottish Government, and wishes everyone involved all the best for the future.
