Fife Organisations Secure National Lottery Funding

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates several local organisations in Fife on securing National Lottery funding, which will benefit constituents across the Fife area; understands that two grants of £10,000 have been awarded to the Rosyth Community Projects Limited for its work in the community, which will be used towards putting on the town’s annual gala and supporting local residents during the cost of living crisis; further understands that Fife Gingerbread received £9,665, which will be used for increased marketing and outreach to advertise its lone parent advice line for those who may be experiencing hardship due to the cost of crisis, and notes that it received a further £10,000 to continue its Making it Work for Families project, which, it understands, will help support single parents and low-income or unemployed families with a child in early secondary school who is struggling to engage or is at risk of substance misuse; notes that the Fife Society for the Blind has received £4,870 for work to make its new office accessible for its clients and staff who are blind and visually impaired, and recognises what it sees as the positive impact that National Lottery funding has on local community groups that play such a vital part in helping people in their local area.
