Kilmarnock Shop Wins Gift Shop of the Year in Prestige Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Kilmarnock’s A Scents of Scotland on securing the title of Scotland’s Gift Shop of the Year in the Prestige Awards for the second year in a row; understands that the awards celebrate small and medium-sized enterprises consisting of local businesses and sole traders excelling in their market; further understands that the owner, Stuart Nairn, began the company from his house just over 10 years ago and opened his Whatriggs Road shop in 2014; commends Stuart’s approach to sourcing his products from within Scotland and forming partnerships with other small businesses and brands, where possible, to showcase Scottish products on an international stage; further commends Stuart’s perseverance and dedication to his business, and wishes him and all his staff the best in their future endeavours.
