Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Ranked Among World's Top 10 Performing Arts Schools

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on being named one of the world’s top 10 places to study performing arts; understands that it has been ranked sixth best in the world for students, placing it alongside iconic institutions such as the Julliard School in New York and Royal College of Music; acknowledges that it is the seventh time that the conservatoire in Glasgow has been placed on the list since it was established in 2016; understands that the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland was founded in 1847 and is Scotland’s only conservatoire where students work and learn alongside award-winning teaching staff and internationally acclaimed guest artists where they develop their craft and collaborate across art forms, and considers that alumni of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland make an impact across the world, and can currently be found on cinema and TV screens, in concert halls and in classrooms, on stage and behind the scenes.
