Trio of West Fife Bakers Shortlisted for Scottish Baker of the Year Award
The motion
That the Parliament commends the three West Fife bakers who have been shortlisted for the 2023-24 Scottish Baker of the Year Award; recognises that the West Fife-based bakers, Stephens Bakery, Cukie Patisserie and Bayne’s of Lochore, were shortlisted after an annual day of judging in Dunfermline; notes that there were 630 offerings from 70 bakers and that judges assessed the appearance and quality of the bake and taste; further notes that prizes were on offer for the best scones, loaves, savoury items, morning rolls, individual cakes and biscuits, as well as French and Danish-style pastries, and understands that the winners will be announced during a gala dinner at Hilton in Glasgow on 6 May 2023.
