Giffnock Tennis, Squash and Hockey Club Nominated for Prestigious Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Giffnock Tennis, Squash and Hockey Club on making the shortlist for a prestigious prize at the Tennis Scotland Awards 2023; notes that the Eastwood-based sports organisation is one of three clubs in Scotland to be shortlisted for the Club of the Year Award; understands that Giffnock Tennis Club has been nominated as a finalist in this category for its community engagement work, and for expanding a tennis coaching programme for all age groups and ability levels; acknowledges that the success of the club's efforts in the past year has resulted in a larger number of members playing the sport at more regular intervals and the ongoing recruitment of new members; recognises that the awards ceremony will take place on 31 March 2023, and wishes the Giffnock Tennis, Squash and Hockey Club, and all finalists across the various award categories, the very best of luck for the evening.
