Kilmory and Dunadd Camanachd Shinty Club Raises £1,000 for MS Centre

The motion

That the Parliament commends Kilmory and Dunadd Camanachd for its charitable contribution of £1,000 to Lochgilphead's MS Centre; understands that the club members, as well as others who are associated with the club, participated in two weeks of running, walking, and cycling more than 2,000 miles in February 2023 to raise funds for the MS Centre; acknowledges the club's commitment to being an integral part of the community and supporting the wellbeing of important local facilities; notes that the cheque was presented to Kilmory and Dunadd Club Vice-President, Laurene Cameron, who expressed her gratitude towards the club and its associates for its generosity and hard work; understands that the donation will enable the Club to organise events and activities that would not normally be available; recognises the role that the club plays in helping to encourage other local sports clubs and community organisations to hold similar fundraisers that contribute towards the wellbeing of the local community; praises this act of kindness, and wishes the Club and Lochgilphead MS Centre well for the future.
