Celebrating the Work of BBC Dumbarton Studios, the Home of River City

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges the excellent work done by the team at BBC Studios in Dumbarton, where the filming of River City has taken place over the last two decades; understands that over 250 staff work at the site, including many highly skilled positions, and that opportunities for training and apprenticeships in film production are made available to local residents; believes that the local economy benefits greatly due to the location of the studios; understands that the management team is committed to diversity and inclusion in the production of TV and film, and wishes all those at BBC Dumbarton Studios every success as they continue their work into the future.
