The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Kirkcaldy Model Engineer Society after it announced plans for the miniature railway to return to Kirkcaldy’s Beveridge Park, following an influx of new volunteers required to maintain and operate the attraction; notes that the society first brought the miniature railway to the Lang Toun’s Beveridge Park in 1989, running its first trains in 1990; further notes that, 10 years later, the railway was given permission to expand the track, and it moved to its current location; recognises that the railway has run ever since, stopping only during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now operates once a month between March and October; commends Kirkcaldy Model Engineer Society and its volunteers for their hard work and dedication to ensuring the miniature railway remains in operation, and wishes them all the best in the future.
