Glasgow Car Club Participating in Fundraising Event for Charity

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Moggies on taking part in Drive It Day, which is organised by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs; understands that the event raises money towards the NSPCC’s free counselling service for children and young people; acknowledges that members of the club will drive their antique vehicles from Newton Mearns to Prestwick Beach on 23 April 2023; notes that the founder of Glasgow Moggies, John Emley, is proud to be supporting NSPCC Scotland and Childline to help raise funds to support young people in the local community, and understands that, last year, Drive It Day across the UK raised £47,000.
