Open University Launches Skills for Business Roadshow

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Open University in Scotland on the launch of its first Skills for Business Roadshow; recognises that skills shortages and retention are, it believes, particularly challenging for rural SMEs; considers that the Skills for Business Roadshow will do a lot to raise awareness of a variety of flexible, short online courses that SMEs can access at little or no cost to themselves or their employees; understands that the Roadshow is co-hosted by a number of Scottish Chambers, Business Improvement Districts, as well as the Cairngorms Business Partnership, and acknowledges what it sees as the importance of connecting small businesses with the skills available in their localities.
