The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Scottish team that won a bronze medal at the World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2023, held in Richmond, Canada, from 4 to 12 March; notes that the skip, Hugh Nibloe, from Stranraer, alongside teammates Gregor Ewan, Gary Logan, Jo Butterfield and Meggan Dawson-Farrell, fought back to defeat Sweden 7-4 in what it considers to be a thrilling play-off; acknowledges that Hugh has now reached a century of international appearances for the Scottish national curling team; understands that Hugh has represented Great Britain at the Paralympic Games on several occasions, winning a bronze medal in 2017 and a silver medal in 2019, and wishes Hugh and his team continued success in the coming season and at the next Winter Paralympics in 2026.
