Give a Dog a Bone in Alloa Shortlisted for Animal Charity Award
The motion
That the Parliament is enthused that an Alloa-based charity has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Petplan and Association for Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) Animal Charity Awards; understands that Give a Dog a Bone, which is based on the Alloa’s Mar Street, has made it through to the finals of the awards, which aim to recognise the work carried out by animal charities across the UK; believes that the charity, which is shortlisted as a finalist for Animal Charity Team of the Year and also has locations in Troon and Glasgow, works to tackle loneliness in older adults through animal companionship and friendship, alongside reducing animal homelessness; commends the charity on its excellent work, and wishes everyone involved all the very best at the awards final, which is to be held on 16 May 2023 at the International Conference Centre in Telford.
