BMX Rider Kriss Kyle Performs World First Stunt on Floating Skatepark

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Red Bull BMX rider, Kriss Kyle, on successfully performing tricks on a floating skatepark more than 2,000 feet above the ground; notes that the Stranraer rider became the first person to complete the world-first stunt, called Don’t Look Down, when he rode around a custom-made bowl suspended by a hot-air balloon, which, it believes, is the world’s largest operating hot-air balloon and was designed and created by Cameron Balloons; understands that the Dumfries and Galloway athlete came up with the death-defying idea while out mountain biking with his dogs during the COVID-19 lockdown, before pitching the idea to Red Bull; recognises that he previously jumped from a helicopter onto the Burj Al Arab skyscraper and paraglided with his bike; acknowledges that Kriss had to overcome his fear of heights to take part in his latest feat above the skies of Wiltshire, having waited more than 11 months for specific climatic conditions, including wind speeds of less than three miles per hour, and wishes Kriss, who has been showcasing his BMX skills from an early age, including when he won his first competition in Edinburgh in 2008, continued success and safe landings.
