Duns Community Keeps Borders Nursery Open

The motion

That the Scottish Parliament commends the dedication of Borders mothers from Duns who,it understands, have banded together to reopen the Duns nursery, which wasexpected to close; notes what it sees as the commitment of the local communityin setting the not-for-profit organisation to take over the building and retainthe original staff; praises the community in Duns for their efforts in ensuringchildcare remains available to families and understands that vital local jobsare retained in the process, and congratulates the mothers for what it sees astheir inspirational work in keeping this critical service available to peopleand the community in Duns.
