Congratulating Catriona Duncan on her Musical Success

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Catriona Duncan, an S6 pupil at Currie Community High School, on winning the Colin Currie Percussion Prize at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Juniors, and the Orchestral Percussion and Drum Kit categories at the Edinburgh Music Competition Festival; understands that she also won the City of Edinburgh Young Musician of the Year award and represents Edinburgh in the Scottish Young Musicians Solo Performer of the Year final in May 2023; acknowledges that Catriona plays in the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland Symphony Orchestra, the West of Scotland Schools Symphony Orchestra, and that, in 2022, she performed with Edinburgh Youth Orchestra at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and wishes her success with her studies for a BMus in Timpani and Orchestral Percussion at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
