Remembering James Doull

The motion

That the Parliament pays tribute to the Scottish powerchair football international player, James Doull, who tragically passed away in early May 2023; recognises his significant contribution to the sport of powerchair football in Scotland, playing for both the Ayrshire Tigers as their captain, recently leading them to victory in the Scottish Powerchair Football Association Championships, and for Scotland in the European Powerchair Football Association Home Nations Cup in 2022; acknowledges his passion for sport and outdoor activities, including hill trekking, camping and abseiling, despite being a wheelchair user, as well as his love of music, which extended as far as performing as a DJ; believes that James’s enthusiasm for life, and particularly sport, regardless of his disabilities, should serve as an inspiration to others and an enduring legacy, and offers its condolences to James’s family and friends at this sad time.
