Mount Stewart Hotel Wins Another Prestigious Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Mount Stewart Hotel following its success at the Scottish Hospitality Awards 2023, one of the most prestigious events in the hospitality industry, which is now in its sixth year and celebrates excellence in the country’s vibrant hospitality sector; recognises that this elegant boutique-style hotel, nestling in the Portpatrick countryside, with breath-taking views over the picturesque peninsula village and across the sea to Ireland, was voted Hotel of the Year South West; notes that the judges were impressed with the high level of service from its friendly staff and praised it for its food and spa facilities; acknowledges that it is also supporting other businesses in the area, including by offering guests the chance to explore the local area on electric bikes; notes that the Mount Stewart Hotel has previously won another notable accolade, after being voted the winner of the Hotel Awards Scotland 2019, and wishes management and employees continued success in the coming months.
