Bin Collectors in Fife Tackling Mental Health Stigma

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges that bin collectors across Fife have teamed up with Andy’s Man Club after losing colleagues to suicide; understands that the bin collectors have been picking up mental health tips, and undergoing mental health training, and that managers are becoming fully trained in mental health first aid to support the team; further understands that Fife Council’s waste operations team is raising awareness with new high-viz polo shirts and adverts promoting mental health organisations and charities, and celebrates Fife Council’s waste operations team for the sterling work it believes it has done in tackling the stigma of men’s mental health.
