The motion

That the Parliament welcomes reports that Bannockburn High School is the most improved secondary school in Scotland in terms of exam results; understands that the school rose 208 places, from 294th to 86th, after the number of pupils gaining five or more Highers rose from 21% to 46% between 2017 and 2022; acknowledges that the list published in The Scotsman of its "most improved" schools shows how each school's placement in the Scotland-wide league table has changed over the last five years; notes, however, that it does not necessarily show how much exam performance at Bannockburn High School has improved in that time; understands that the figures are based on the percentage of pupils at each school who achieved the Scottish Government’s educational “gold standard” of five Highers, or their equivalent, between 2017 and 2022, and commends the students, staff and all involved on their diligence and drive for improvement, which, it believes, has been rightly recognised.
