National Lottery Heritage Fund Grant Awarded to Reflecting Scottish Heritage

The motion

That the Parliament pays tribute to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which has awarded a grant to Reflecting Scottish Heritage, a project run by Milan Senior Welfare Organisation, in Lothian; notes that the amount awarded was of £9,995, which represents 80.87% of total costs; acknowledges what it sees as the importance of projects such as Milan Senior Welfare Organisation to help deliver provisions for people over the age of 50 from Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Mauritian communities in Edinburgh and Lothian; believes that such charities make fundamental contributions in communities by meeting their social, cultural, and recreational needs; further believes that volunteers deserve recognition, respect and appreciation for what it sees as their critical efforts in supporting communities, and thanks the National Lottery Heritage Fund for providing the resources needed to preserve these projects.
