Celebrating the Success of Tayside and Central Moorland Group "Estates that Educate" Programme

That the Parliament congratulates Tayside and Central Moorland Group for its successful Estates that Educate programme; notes that the project was established in 2016 by the Angus Glens Moorland Group; understands that it was introduced in 2022 in three different regions of Scotland, involving more than 800 young individuals, who actively participated in practical demonstrations focusing on rural conservation and land management skills with an estimated 2,000 to attend in 2023 from over 100 schools; notes that these activities are developed in collaboration with schools to involve students and address what it sees as the shortage of rural skills; understands that Tayside and Central Moorland Group is working to ensure the survival of rural communities and counter the decline in rural populations, and wishes the group continued success of the programme in the future.
