Peterhead Project Men United Commended for Charity Work

The motion

That the Parliament commends Peterhead Project Men United for its advocacy for men’s mental health; notes that the project originated in 2019 through a Facebook post on a faith group page; understands that the charity has supported more than 616 men and prevented 29 suicides during its operation; notes that the charity holds regular gatherings in its recently renovated centre at the former Union Bar, which will formally open on 25 June 2023; understands that these meetings offer a supportive environment where individuals are always available to lend an empathetic ear and comprehend the challenges men face on a day-to-day basis, and wishes it success in obtaining future funding to enable it to continue making a positive impact on the local community.
