National Lottery Award for Menstrie Community Action Group in Mid Scotland and Fife Region

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Menstrie Community Action Group Ltd has been awarded £33,000 from the National Lottery Medium Grants Scotland: Improving Lives fund; believes that the group manages Our Dumayat Centre, in Menstrie, and that it will use the funding to provide local people with a warm space and with a programme of recreational activities; understands that this will be supplemented with energy and benefits advice delivered by experienced outside agencies, and is delighted that the project will reportedly benefit 400 people, and 20 volunteers who will participate over a 12-month period.
