Prestwick Primary School Teacher Receives Digital Innovator of the Year Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Prestwick’s Amanda Pickard on winning Digital Innovator of the Year at the Scottish Education Awards 2023; notes that the awards were held in Glasgow on 7 June 2023, at DoubleTree by Hilton; acknowledges that the awards were first launched in November 2021 to recognise those who have dedicated their lives to children and young people, and to celebrate the hard work and success within Scottish education; understands that primary school teacher Amanda is a digital learning officer for South Ayrshire Council, and was one of three finalists in the category for the award; further understands that she is also a Digital Champion for the council and was recognised for making learning more engaging and inclusive through her use of technology in the classroom; recognises her passion for the digital sector and her role in sharing her knowledge across the local community, and wishes Amanda the very best with her future endeavours.
