Cancer Card Founder, Jen Hardy, Awarded an MBE

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Jennifer (Jen) Hardy MBE on her inclusion in The King’s first Birthday Honours list for services to the promotion of cancer awareness in Scotland; notes that Jen was diagnosed with stage 4 incurable breast cancer in October 2017; commends Jen for having the idea of creating a one-stop information portal for cancer patients that became a registered charity, Cancer Card; acknowledges the work of Ian Pirrie, Chief Executive, and the rest of the team and volunteers who make Cancer Card possible; congratulates Jen on this recognition of her determination to help others, and wishes her and Cancer Card well.
