Highland Brownie Volunteer Recognised for Service in The King’s Birthday Honours List

The motion

That the Parliament commends Anne McCreadie for being recognised in The King’s Birthday Honours list; recognises that Anne McCreadie, who is the chairperson of Merkinch Community Centre, was awarded her British Empire Medal for her services as a dedicated community leader, supporting people of all ages, and for further being a trustee of the Elsie Normington Foundation, which was established to create a specialist centre for children and young people with complex needs; recognises that Anne was recently presented with Age Scotland’s Jess Barrow Award for Campaigning and Influencing, and congratulates all those who received honours in The King’s Birthday Honours list.
