Logan Holsteins Triumphs Again at the Royal Highland Show

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Brian and Michael Yates, of Logan Holsteins in Castle Douglas, on impressing the judges to win the Supreme Champion title with their second calver, Eedy Crushabull Acclaim, at the 2023 Royal Highland Show, which took place in Ingliston from 22 to 25 June; notes that they also produced the champion there in 2022; recognises that the cow is no stranger to the limelight, having secured the SuperHeifer title at AgriScot, and was reserve at the Dairy Expo; understands that she was bought privately in Ireland from Robert and Jason Helen; understands that this VG89-classified entry produced her second in January, and is now giving 55 litres per day for the 500-cow herd, and that her pedigree features the sire, Oh-River-Syc Crushbull, onto the VG88-classified dam, Eedy Breemer Acclaim; notes that Logan Holsteins also secured the coveted Champion Red and White with Eastford Dice and Kiwi Red, and wishes the Yates family continued success in the forthcoming agricultural shows in the coming months.
