Samantha Torbet Named East Ayrshire’s Probationer of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Patna’s Samantha Torbet on becoming East Ayrshire’s Probationer of the Year; understands that Samantha is a former Doon Academy pupil, and is now working at Kilmarnock Academy as a geography teacher; further understands that she is a valued member of staff, due to her enthusiasm and dedication, encouraging and supporting the young people, not only in her classes, but the whole school; recognises that she has developed environmental projects within the school, including the submission to the Clean, Green Education Awards, which has seen her engaging with Sir David Attenborough; understands that Samantha will be remaining at Kilmarnock Academy for the next school year, and wishes her, and all the other East Ayrshire probationers, the very best as they begin their teaching careers.
