100th Senior Cap for Scotland for Caroline Weir

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Caroline Weir on the achievement of her 100th senior cap for Scotland, gained in the recent friendly victory against Finland in Tampere, where she also captained the side and scored the opening goal; notes that Dunfermline-born Caroline made her senior international debut 10 years ago, and that she has subsequently become a key player for Scotland, including in qualification campaigns for the European Championships and the World Cup; recognises that Caroline has scored 17 goals for Scotland, including the goal that gave Scotland its first tournament victory at the European Championships; highlights that Caroline recently completed her first season at Real Madrid, where she scored 28 goals in all competitions, and was awarded a player of the year accolade; commends Caroline on reaching this milestone, and wishes her continuing success in her footballing career.
