Braemar and Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Teams Complete Successful Rescue in Cairngorms

The motion

That the Parliament notes the successful rescue of three climbers on Beinn a' Bhùird in the Cairngorms, on 23 July 2023, by the Braemar and Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Teams; further notes that, due to poor visibility, the rescue had to be carried out at first light and that all three climbers were safely taken to ground with no injuries; recognises that, every year, Braemar and Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Teams carry out many rescues, as do mountain rescue teams throughout Scotland, and commends the bravery and dedication of Scotland’s volunteer mountain rescue teams and the search and rescue helicopter crews for their role in saving lives.
