Historic Win for Team Scotland at the Commonwealth Youth Games

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Team Scotland for an outstanding performance to win gold in the rugby sevens event at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, held in Trinidad and Tobago; understands that Scotland defeated Fiji 25-20 in extra-time, in the final on 8 August 2023; recognises that this is a historic win for Team Scotland, which has never medalled before in the event at either a Commonwealth or Youth Commonwealth Games; congratulates everyone in Team Scotland for this victory, including Ben Morris of Deeside Rugby, and wishes the team every success in future games.
