Congratulating Team Scotland on its Historic Gold Medal Win at the Commonwealth Youth Games

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Scotland Men's Rugby 7s team on its historic gold medal win at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad and Tobago; considers that the team's victory is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players, coaches, and support staff; congratulates Lothian residents Benjamin Roger, Fergus Wood, Jack Hocking and Hugo Alderson on their exceptional contributions to the team; commends Scottish Rugby for its investment in youth rugby, and calls on it to continue to support the development of rugby at all levels in Scotland.
