Warriors to Raise Funds for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Glasgow Warriors on the announcement that, once again, it will raise funds for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity throughout the 2023-24 season, with the aim of reaching at least £25,000; understands that the campaign has been named "Fighting For Our Families" and that, like the previous season, the focal point will be a "Plaster It Purple" rugby match, in which supporters are asked to wear purple clothes while the players will sport purple laces; understands that there will be more fundraising activities throughout the United Rugby Championship (URC) season, starting on 1 October 2023, when the Warriors' rugby staff will take part in the Great Scottish Run half-marathon and 10k; understands that in 2022-23, the club raised £21,000 over the course of the "Plaster It Purple" week, and notes that the aim this time round is to surpass that figure.
