All Eastwood Secondary Schools Ranked in Scotland's Top 20

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates all five of East Renfrewshire's Eastwood secondary schools on placing in the nation's top 20 in The Times Scotland school rankings; notes that the four schools, St Ninian's High, Woodfarm High, Williamwood High and Mearns Castle High, all ranked within the top 10, and that Eastwood High was rated as the 11th highest performing secondary school in Scotland; understands that The Sunday Times measured the performance of schools based on the percentage of pupils who achieved five Higher grades in 2021 and 2022; recognises that the highest placed Eastwood School, St Ninian's High, ranked as third nationally, with 78% of pupils achieving five Highers or more in 2021 and with a figure of 79% for 2022; believes that East Renfrewshire is widely recognised for its excellence in education, and commends pupils at the five Eastwood schools for their outstanding levels of academic achievement.
