Death of Actor, David McCallum

The motion

That the Parliament expresses its sadness at the death of the Scottish actor, David McCallum, at the age of 90; notes that the actor was born in Glasgow and was best known for his role as Russian spy Illya Kuryakin in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. for which he received several Golden Globe and Emmy nominations; further notes that he also starred in a host of other film and TV productions, including the legendary movie, The Great Escape, The Greatest Story Ever Told, the BBC’s Colditz, Sapphire and Steel and latterly NCIS; notes that he also starred in Perry Mason and The Outer Limits, and expresses its condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.
