Fife Resident Awarded Health Walk Volunteer of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Claire Henderson, walk leader of Bums Off Seats (The Right Step) project, who has been awarded Health Walk Volunteer of the year at the 2023 Volunteer Awards; notes that Claire has been instrumental in leading Bums Off Seats health walks in the Fife area, after forming an evening walking group in 2021; further notes that Bums Off Seats facilitates 17 weekly walks across Fife and is focused on the health benefits of walking, along with social elements; recognises that Claire was recently celebrated at Paths for All’s 14th annual awards ceremony at the Scottish Parliament, and wishes Claire and Bums Off Seats health walks all the best for the future.
