Royal Northern Agricultural Society 2023 Award Winners

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the winners of the 2023 Royal Northern Agricultural Society (RNAS) Awards, including Peter Cook, Gordon Towns and Lindsey Brown; recognises that Peter was awarded the Press & Journal/RNAS shield for his services to agriculture; commends Peter for what it see as the impact that he has made in the agricultural field, including working for the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC), running his own rural consultancy business, and now as Director of Food, Drink and Agricultural at Opportunity North East (ONE); applauds Gordon for winning this year’s Aberdeen and Northern Marts Local Award for his work as a partner in Towns and Carnie Ltd, which supplies quality animal health products from its branches in Huntly, Inverurie and Turriff; congratulates Lindsey, who is from Midmar, on winning the award allocated for a student employed off farm, and wishes them well in their future agricultural endeavours.
