Stranraer Curler, Euan Kyle, Leads Team to Victory in Canada

The motion

That the Parliament warmly congratulates Euan Kyle, a curler from Stranraer, and his team consisting of Ross Whyte, Robin Brydone and Duncan MacFadzean on winning the prestigious AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic title in Cornwall, Ontario, to complete an impressive first tour of Canada; notes that they secured a memorable victory over Sweden’s six-time world champions, Team Edin, who won the 2022 Olympic title; understands that Euan reached three successive finals only to lose out to the world curling champions, Team Mouat, featuring Bobby Lammie and Hammy McMillan, who are also both from Stranraer, and wishes all the Scottish curlers continued success in the national, European and global competitions.
