Remembering Srebrenica Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Remembering Srebrenica Scotland, a genocide education charity, on the launch of what it sees as a powerful theatre in education programme about the Bosnian genocide; notes that the genocide, also known as the Srebrenica massacre, took place in July 1995 and killed more than 8,000 Bosniak Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina; understands that the programme, titled Inseparable: Lessons from a nation divided, aims to promote community cohesion and tolerance by telling the stories of survivors, and recognises the bravery and courage of the survivors of the genocide.
