Congratulating Scotland's National Men's Football Team on Qualifying for Euro 2024

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Scotland's national men's football team on qualifying for Euro 2024; understands that Scotland qualified with two games to spare after Spain's national men's football team beat Norway's national men's football team 1-0; appreciates that Scotland is now guaranteed to finish in the top two in Group A; commends the Scotland national men's football team for reaching two successive European Championships; considers that qualifying for Euro 2024 is an excellent showcase of Scottish sporting talent; believes that it is important to encourage the next generation of footballing talent in Scotland by offering children and young people the opportunity to learn the game; understands that Scotland has two matches left, against Georgia and Norway, and wishes the Scotland national men's football team, the staff and the fans the best of luck for these games and for the rest of Euro 2024.
