Bearsden Resident, Mrs Pritam Kaur Purewal, Turns 100 Years Old

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mrs Pritam Kaur Purewal of Bearsden on celebratingher 100th Birthday; understands that she first arrived in Glasgow in 1957; notesthat she worked as a machinist and had four children, from which she has 14grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; understands that Pritam is seen bythose who know her as a pillar of strength to the Sikh community in the West ofScotland; appreciates that a special message from His Majesty King Charles III wassent to Pritam to mark this special occasion; thanks Pritam and her family forwhat it sees as their significant contribution to Scotland – economically,socially and culturally, and wishes her the best of health for the years ahead.
