Asda Alloa Awards for Play Alloa and Forth Valley Men's Shed

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Asda Alloa has provided grants of £1,600 to Play Alloa and £800 to Forth Valley Men’s Shed via the Asda Foundation; understands that the Asda Foundation is a charitable company that provides grants to a range of good causes across Scotland and supports local projects that are nominated by the people and the communities that they serve; considers that the Asda Foundation sees this local support as the ideal way to give something back to the local communities that support their businesses; understands that, in 2022, the Asda Foundation invested more than £800,000 in community projects and good causes in Scotland that have made a real difference to their local areas, and commends what it sees as the fantastic work of Play Alloa and Forth Valley Men’s Shed in the local community, as well as that of the Asda Foundation in communities across Scotland.
