Celebrating Rural Success

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates all of the nominees, winners and finalists in Scottish Land & Estates 2023 Helping it Happen Awards; acknowledges that several fantastic Borders businesses were nominated; notes that Henry Graham won the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Rural Scotland; further notes that the winner of the Rural Rising Star Award was Claire Taylor; congratulates other winners, the East Neuk Corn Bunting Project, Cairngorms National Park Junior Ranger Project, the Scottish Invasive Species Initiative, Arbikie Highland Estate, Balbirnie Home Farms, Leys Estate, Active Kids Adventure Park, Duncan McConchie, and Communities Housing Trust, and judges’ commendation recipients, Highland Cinema and Pick-ups for Peace, and recognises that 11 businesses, community partnerships and individuals from across rural Scotland won awards at the 2023 Helping it Happen Awards, which, it understands, exist to celebrate exemplary work across rural Scotland by helping rural Scotland thrive, delivering for people, jobs and nature.
