Congratulating Cameron Sinclair, from Scone, on Winning the World Solo Drumming Championship

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Cameron Sinclair, from Scone in Perthshire, on his success in the adult tenor section at the World Solo Drumming Championship recently; understands that Cameron, a former Perth Academy student, was crowned winner of the adult tenor section, following an impressive performance on 21 October 2023; notes that Cameron plays for Police Scotland, and has previously enjoyed success at junior level; believes that Cameron entered in the adults section of the competition in 2022 and was placed fifth; appreciates that Cameron owns the Fìobha Ceilidh Band business, and also works as a joiner for family firm, Scone Joiners; recognises the major milestone achievement of the award, and extends its very best wishes to Cameron for continued success in the future.
