Befriending Week 2023

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges that 1 to 7 November 2023 marks 11 years of Befriending Week; understands that its founder organisation, Befriending Networks, hopes that 2023's campaign will celebrate and strengthen the sector; believes that, for 2023, the overarching theme is "Befriending is Support", which reflects the support befrienders give to befriendees, the support provided by befriending organisations to befrienders, and the support that this network creates for the sector, and recognises what it sees as the importance that befriending support provides to everyone who needs it.
