Buckhaven Man Wins Mr Universe Title

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mark Taylor after being named Mr Universe in the Masters Over-45s category of the National Amateur Body-builders' Association competition 2023, which was recently held in Bradford; notes that Mark has competed in seven Mr Universe events, previously finishing in seventh, fourth and then third place in 2022; understands that Mark, who runs Taylor Made Gym and Fitness in Leven, with his family, wanted to become a bodybuilder after seeing a bodybuilder magazine, and after he noticed a change in his physique when driving Irn Bru trucks, which involved lifting 20 tonnes of juice every day; believes that, around the time that contests take place, Mark eats 10 meals a day, consuming around 5,500 calories; commends Mark for his dedication to the sport of bodybuilding, and wishes him all the best for the future.
